Barney Ross is the leader of a group of mercenaries who performs any mission since she is well paid. Among his companions are the usual knives specialist Lee Christmas, Gunnar Jensen and Bao Thao, who have demonstrated emotional instability during missions. One day, Barney and his troupe are hired to overthrow General Garza, the dictator of the island of Vilena. Barney and Lee go to the site and found Sandra, who want to topple the government. Except that they are soon attacked by the forces of Garza and Monroe, an American businessman who funds the local government. Barney and Lee leave Vilena and abandon the mission, but the persistence of Sandra, who wants to stay to fight for freedom, messes with the hitherto non-existent principles Barney.
